🌸 Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Week Begins with Devotion and Spiritual Fervor 🌸
Baijapura: The Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Saptah Parayan, organized under the auspices of the Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Seva Samiti, Baijapura, commenced on Sunday, 27-September with great devotion, faith, and spiritual enthusiasm.
On the opening day, a grand Pothi Yatra and Kalash Yatra was taken out throughout the village from Shri Ram Mandir, in which a large number of devotees participated with enthusiasm and devotion.
The sacred narration of Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapurana is being delivered by Shastri Shri Atmaswarup Dasji Swami, a Tyagi Sadhu who has received Bhagwati Diksha in the Swaminarayan Sampraday. The Katha is being held every evening from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Baijapura.
🕉️ Highlights of the First Day
The first day’s discourse covered several inspiring episodes, including:
– Dhundhukari Akhyan
– Character of Shri Shukdevji
– Birth of King Parikshit
– Bhishma Stuti
– Kapil Gita
– Daksha Charitra
Through these spiritual narratives, devotees received meaningful messages on Bhakti, Dharma, Sadachar, Vairagya, and righteous living.
🌿 “Lakshman Rekha” – A Symbol of Life’s Discipline
During the discourse, it was explained that the Lakshman Rekha symbolizes the boundaries of Dharma, discipline, and righteous conduct in life.
For the protection and preservation of devotion, one must follow Dharma, spiritual discipline, self-control, and good conduct. Dharma gives a person the wisdom to distinguish between right and wrong, while Maryada keeps one firmly on the right path.
“Where Dharma and Maryada exist, devotion remains protected.”
🙏 A Message for Society
The central message of the Katha is social awakening and a Dharma-centered way of life.
It was emphasized that Shrimad Bhagwat Katha should not be heard merely for entertainment, but for inner transformation and spiritual upliftment. The true purpose of listening to the Katha is to bring positive change into life, strengthen values and good conduct, and deepen faith in God.
A large number of women, men, children, and senior citizens from the village attended the Katha. The organizers appealed to devotees to participate in large numbers during the upcoming days and receive the spiritual benefit of Katha Shravan and Satsang.
